World Cerebral Palsy Day Celebration at Crystal Foundation

Crystal Foundation joined the international community on the 5th of October 2016 to commemorate world cerebral palsy day. The day coincided with world teacher’s day, which usually precipitates the presence of thousands of people from local communities in the Bui division of the North West region of Cameroon. Crystal Foundation took advantage of this coincidence to spread the word about cerebral palsy as teachers at the Crystal Foundation rehab center for mental and developmental disabilities took part in the commemoration of the world teacher’s day celebration.

The celebration ground was populated with thousands of people who had come from different communities. Also present at the celebration ground were local, traditional, medical and government stakeholders. The Crystal team displayed placards with educative messages about cerebral palsy. The communications department that oversaw the celebration of the day’s events equally made a general announcement to the audience informing them about Crystal Foundation and its activities.

At the end of the day, word about cerebral palsy was passed out to thousands of people who had converged at the celebration ground to celebrate the international teacher’s day. Equally, stakeholders were also made to understand that cerebral palsy and disability as a whole is a problem and should equally take center stage with other problems plaguing society.
